Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ironset Studio (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the VoyageLog mobile and web application (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address, display name, and authentication identifiers from our identity provider (Clerk). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a token and basic profile fields from those providers.
• Trip and content data. Trips, transportation, accommodations, activities, packing lists, budgets, participants, notes, countdowns, and similar content you create or upload.
• Document uploads. Files you choose to upload (for example, tickets and reservations) are stored in our object storage so you can retrieve them on your devices.
• Subscription and purchase data. When you purchase a subscription on the web we use Stripe to process payment; on iOS we use Apple In-App Purchase. We receive transaction identifiers and subscription status, but we do not receive your full card number.
• Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, IP address, and request logs that we use to operate and debug the Service.
• Push notification tokens. If you opt in, we store the token your device or browser issues so we can deliver reminders.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To process subscriptions and entitlements.
• To send transactional messages (for example, trip-related reminders you opt into).
• To diagnose problems and prevent abuse.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed for them to do so:

• Clerk — authentication and identity management.
• Stripe — subscription billing on the web.
• Apple In-App Purchase — subscription billing in the iOS app. Purchases on iOS are governed by Apple’s terms and Apple receives the payment information directly.
• Cloudflare R2 — object storage for documents and uploads.
• Railway — application hosting and database infrastructure.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ironset Studio, our users, or others.

Trip sharing and collaborators

If you invite someone to a trip, the trip details and items you add to that trip become visible to those collaborators. Removing a collaborator stops their future access but does not retroactively remove content they may have already viewed or saved.

Data retention

We retain account and trip data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected] from the address associated with your account. Active paid subscriptions should be cancelled separately — on iOS through your Apple ID Subscriptions, on the web through the billing portal.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

International users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
